Go Big or Go Home Questions: Give
A few weeks back I wrote a post on my personal blog Walking My Own Walk that was inspired by something I heard Dr. Wayne Dyer say. He said that we cannot give what we don't have.
Hmmm, that makes sense, doesn't it?
If you don't have time, you can't give time to someone else. If you don't have energy, you can't give energy to an activity or project.
My go big or go home question to you is this; what will you give to YOU starting today so that you will have more than enough to share?

Although I hate the Dyer guy, I'll have to say he did recycle a very good point. Some years ago, while watching an episode of 'behind the music' a band member of Poison commented on the guitarist CC Deville (right spelling, I think) that a particular solo he played on a song confirmed how beautiful his soul is no matter what he tried to come off as. If he didn't have the beautiful music inside, he wouldn't have anything to play on the guitar.
To answer your question, and I've always maintained that, I'd say I give myself knowledge. Now I'm sounding like Dyer (oh nooo!)
What I mean is even simpler and attainable on a daily schedule. Learn one new thing each day; that one thing that makes you go either 'hmmm' or 'mmm?' or both. Both set off sparks that makes you (me) a better person. Take that, Dyer!

Emon, thank you for sharing the story of CC Deville -- great example. Kudos to you for wanting to learn something new each day. :) I think it was James Ray that said something along the lines of, "If you aren't learning, your soul dies."Keeping learning!!

I AM a die-hard Dyer fan and he's the one who taught me exactly what you've said here, Emon - I don't think you really hate him, do you? ;)For me it's also Knowledge (and I capitalize it because it's a deeper thing than belief, which is the distinction I learned from our buddy Wayne). As I trust my own Knowing instead of having to scramble for facts that someone else said to back it up, I find I have way more wisdom to give away. I can acquire wisdom by trying new things and determining not what's "right or wrong," "good or bad," but what works or what doesn't. As I can become aware of my own judgments, I can learn beyond them and become more open-minded and even wiser in my discernment.
Great, thought-provoking post and question, Pam. Why doesn't that surprise me, coming from you? :)

Awww, thanks, my friend!! :) And thank you for your wonderful contribution as always. I love the point you made about trusting your own knowing. That topic has come up a lot lately. What we all have inside of us is truly amazing -- IMHO it just takes trust and the willingness to listen to what we have to say. :)Thank you again, Jodee for your dialog spurring contribution!
